Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Advisor at LaFontaine Imports of Livonia, you will schedule all service work and provide exceptional customer service by recommending appropriate additional services. You will ensure effective communication between customers and the service team to deliver a smooth and satisfactory service experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) ratings and meet service standards set by management.
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assess vehicle concerns, and gather accurate vehicle and customer information.
  • Test-drive vehicles as needed to diagnose issues.
  • Advise customers on required vehicle maintenance and repairs based on manufacturer guidelines.
  • Identify additional repair needs and clearly explain necessary services to customers.
  • Provide accurate labor and parts estimates and obtain customer approval before starting work.
  • Obtain required signatures and documentation for repair orders and keep customers informed of any changes.
  • Handle phone inquiries regarding work in progress and appointment scheduling.
  • Review final invoices for accuracy and deliver vehicles while addressing any customer questions.
  • Maintain clean and organized work and waiting areas.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, talk, and hear regularly.
  • Frequent walking and sitting.
  • Possible exposure to exhaust fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a related role.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
